The semester is coming to an end and with it the time of the current board of directors. After almost a year of organizing very few events, the last semester was full of many board game nights, sewing and sauna sessions and great events (and a few are still to come...). Now, we are very excited to announce the Election Meeting for the Board and the Court for the Spring 2022 semester (you can find the Agenda here). Here are a few more information:
The Election Meeting will be held on Tuesday December 14th from 17:00 in Gasquen, Nymble and it is 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰, which means that everyone can attend! We will also stream the election on zoom (https://kth-se.zoom.us/j/61508758682) and it will be possible to ask questions to the candidates via a google form, however, the voting will take place in person.

And we have good news! 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗺 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗛𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡'𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 (with the exception of the Court) and all the positions are elected for 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿.

However, we 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 encourage you to fill the 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 you will find below! Note that this for is NOT BONDING and NOT NEEDED to apply for the positions, but it is useful for us to get in touch with you in case you would like to have a meeting with us to clarify your doubts, so fill it 𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 so we have the time to schedule it. 💡

As THS MAIN’s Treasurer, you are responsible for collecting receipts, making sure everyone gets their refunds, and tracking and approving expenses for all of our events. This is how Ilona, the current Treasurer, describes her experience 💭
“Being the treasurer has been a really fun experience. The tasks of the position are not very time-consuming and can easily be done next to your studies. The accounting itself happens in Google spreadsheets so it’s not too hard to get adjusted. Next to doing the accounting for the association you also get to learn a lot about how an association functions by working together with the rest of the board. Additionally, you can always join and help out at events which I really enjoyed.
I would definitely recommend the treasurer position to everyone who likes numbers and looking at spreadsheets and is interested in learning about the financial side of the association.”
As THS MAIN’s Event Manager, you will be the leader in organizing events, but always supported by a team of MAINees being part of the Squad and Committee for that event. The Event Managers stay in charge for 6 months! 🥰 This is how the current Event Managers describe their experience 💭
“Being Event Managers for THS MAIN this semester felt like some fresh air after a difficult year. Being able to offer opportunities for people to have a great time together and try different activities they maybe would not have otherwise (think about Osqvik, Gasques and Curling) felt incredibly rewarding. Working together with other motivated people who bring their own ideas for events is also a big growth opportunity to improve organizational and communication skills. Motivation is really the only skill you need, everything else you learn in the position and you are always supported by the more experienced board members. ” 💙
As THS MAIN’s Marketing Manager, you are responsible for all the association's social media like Instagram, Facebook, and the Newsletter. You are also responsible to oversee the Website and designing the many patches we create for our events! “Marketing is one of the key components to make our events successful! Without people attending our events, the association would probably not even exist. The role of the Marketing Manager is making sure that everyone who is interested in being updated on what we are doing has the possibility to come and hang out with us! 💙 For sure managing all those platforms might look like a lot of work, but don't worry, because as a Marketing Manager you will be head of the Marketing Committee, a team of great people ready to help you and make your life easier! 👯 With this role, you will not only learn better what works on social media but also being part of a team (the Board) and leader of another (the Marketing Committee) will help you develop useful social interaction and leadership skills! 😎”
